O Scale S Truck

S FOUR WHEEL OPEN WAGON
The S was the most common wagon on the N.S.W. system with over 10,000 in service during the peak of their career. This is a model of the type with a steel underframe, steel and wood composite body and wooden floor.

O Scale MRC

MRC BOGIE REFRIGERATOR VAN
These vans were built with a steel underframe, wooden body and ice compartments in each end. There were 249 MRC's built between 1933 and 1950, but with the decline of refrigerated traffic, from 1957 onwards most of them were converted to MBC's for use as covered vans. The kit can be built as either type.

O Scale WHX

WHX GRAIN HOPPER
This wagon is one of the new generation type of steel and aluminium construction with the grain completely enclosed for protection. It features quick release hopper doors for speedy automatic unloading.

O Scale BCW

BCW BOGIE CATTLE WAGON
A total of 100 single deck BCW's were built with a steel underframe wooden and steel body and a corrugated steel roof. With the transport of cattle and horses taken over by road transport, eventually the BCW's bodies were scrapped and the chassis' used for other purposes.

O Scale UME

UME BOGIE FLAT WAGON
These bogie flat wagons have a steel underframe of the "fishbelly" type with a wooden deck and four stanchions on each side to retain the load. They were later upgraded by fitting roller bearing Andrews type bogies. A total of 152 were placed in service during 1952.

O Scale BHG

BHG BOGIE BRAKE VAN
In 1940, seventy five SHG bogie brake vans were built with steel underframes, wooden bodies and featured two passenger compartments with toilets, but were eventually restricted to 40 M.P.II. From 1960 onwards, twenty six SHG's were converted to BHG's by fitting 2AE bogies and toilet access for the guard.
