We are breeding Charbray Cattle. We are not the
biggest but we are using the best genetics available to produce bulls to meet
the markets of today & tomorrow.
In the past we have bought cows from 2Up, Fernvale, Gunnadoo, Mixhill and Palgrove. We have used A.I. and E.T. to join these cows with Gunnadoo Red Barron, LHD Mr Perfect, 2UP The Vegemite Kid, Riverglen High Performance, JDH Ernesto Demanso, Banjo, Colinta Vantage and Colinta Vanguard. This strategy has left us with a very good herd of breeding cows. We have established a quality herd of females emphasizing moderate frame, easy finishing and easy calving.
Now that we have established quality, we are breeding for consistency. To do this we are getting away from first crosses and using very good bulls from well established herds. We believe that CHASMAC & STEWART PARK (formally VERDE) have one of the best herds of any breed, so we have bought Verde Whitegum to produce a consistent line of high quality heifers. GREENFIELDS is also recognised as having many generations of consistent quality Charbrays. We are using Greenfields 04-958 over the Whitegum heifers in an attempt to increase consistency while maintaining quality. We want you to be able to look at one of our bulls & be confident that his offspring will show his characteristics.
We sell coastal bred cattle from the paddock and at Rockhampton.
