As I looked out across the sea
And in my imagination
It was you that I could see

An angel's melody

My Friend

I want to say to you my friend
How important you’ve been to me
I wanted to say to you my friend
That I loved your honesty

When I was down you came around
And you gave me some time
And you let me speak openly about
The things that were on my mind

And I could tell that the things you said
Like a wounded heart would heal
Would come true for me as it did for you
And the one day I could tell that to someone else

I want to let you know my friend
How important you’ve been to me
