Aliens of the Sea available in retail stores in Australia

After commercial and artistic success in US and two years later, the multi-award winning Australian programme will be offered in its home land. Australian Geographic and ABC Retail are stocking up the title to be offered for Christmas. VHS tapes and DVD discs should available in selected ABC Shops within days.

Two years in the making, Aliens of the Sea is a spectacular show of Australian marine life. Many rare, beautiful and fascinating sea creatures have been capturead in an award-winning cinematography.

Aliens of the Sea has received four major international awards. Recently the programme has won the First Prize, Gold Camera Award at the 33rd U.S. International Film and Video Festival held in Chicago.

"I am pleased that Australian retailers slowly recognise cultural, artistic and commericial values of Australian products. When foreign films still outnumber local productions by ten to one it is important that Australian films receive greater support from our retailers. We are commited to work with Australian retailers and offer incentives as well as superior production qualities to change this situation." says the producer, Pawel Achtel.

Aliens of the Sea has proven to be the top seller overseas in a number of mainstream outlets. It is also expected to do well in its home country.
