REIKI

Experience the transmission of Reiki together with Tibetan healing meditations. You will learn the practice of Reiki, as well as the wisdom of the Buddhist way of life. This tradition of Reiki originated with Usui Sensei, who experienced the energy of Reiki through the Buddhist Sutras.

Reiki is the process of invoking this universal energy, and works on physical, emotional and spiritual levels to relieve stress and promote health and peace in oneself and others. By its nature Reiki is safe, gentle and complimentary to all forms of medicine and healing.

David Christensen is a western Lama of the Nyingma school. He completed his traditional training under the guidance of his main teachers, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Dudjom Rinpoche, Nyoshul Khenpo and Tulku Pema Wangyal in a four-year retreat in Dordogne, France. David has spent 25 years studying and practicing Buddhism in Australia, Nepal, France and the USA. Fluent in Tibetan, he is highly regarded for his work in translating Dzogchen texts. He has taught and translated at various retreats in the United States.

David lives in Melbourne where he runs a meditation and healing centre, and a small gallery of traditional and contemporary Tibetan Buddhist art from Nepal, Bhutan, India and France. He recently established a new country retreat centre near Wilsons Promontory in Victoria.

He visits Perth only a few times each year. In his quiet and heart-centred style of teaching David distills the essence of Reiki and Buddhist Dharma and presents them in a way for all to understand.

 

Private interviews and healing sessions are available with David during his Perth visit.
