• Keith McCarron and the committee of the Ninth Australian Narrow Gauge Convention are also pleased to announce that the convention’s “Announcement Letter” for the 2009 convention has now been prepared. You can view this letter on our 2009 Convention Page.  The four-page letter includes contact details for members of the organising committee, details of their plans for each day of the convention and accommodation suggestions.
• The contests’ rules have also been published, and with just over one year until the convention, you should have plenty of time to complete an entry or two!  Visit our 2009 Forms page to download the modelling and photogrpahy contests’ rules and entry forms.

• The committee of the Eighth Australian Narrow Gauge Convention is delighted to announce that significant donations totalling in excess of $3,200 have now been made to two of Victoria’s finest narrow gauge railways, the Walhalla Goldfields Railway and the Alexandra Timber Tramway. 
• These organisations have received the lion’s share of the profit from the last convention, with a small amount provided to the Sydney-based committee of the next convention and a few hundred dollars remaining in the care of Narrow Gauge Convention Inc. to be used as seed money for the next Melbourne-based convention.

• Initial details of the next convention are now available.  The Ninth Australian Narrow Gauge Convention is to be held in North Parramatta (Sydney) NSW over Easter, 10-13 April 2009.
