Nathan Charlton is a talented young man, and one the bush ballad industry believes has a very promising future. After winning The Australian Bush Balladeers Association Bush Balladeer Star Quest in January 2002 his winner's single recorded at LBS Studios entitled "Tex, Buddy & Slim", written by Keith Jamieson, clearly defines where his heart lies in bush ballad music.
Still a teenager, Nathan represents the young front of bush balladeers into the future, while retaining strong ties with the pioneers of the ballad. Carving one's own identity in what is quickly becoming a competitive bush ballad field is a challenge for the most astute balladeer, but Nathan seems to be taking it in his stride.
Coming from the town of Junee (which produced guitar legend Barry Thornton), Nathan is set to take the fans of bush ballads by storm.
