Pakistan
This is a confusing country, with it's unproportionate share of wealth (that rules the place) and the other 99% of mislead but honest and hard working people. Pakistanis harbor an ill feeling towards India, this I think is propaganda based.
The country is a mixture of Islamic cultures, co-existing together harmoniously. There are some big contrasts here though. A very colorful place with lots of interesting things to see and do.
Highlights
Peshawar with it's markets, gun shops and male dominated society. Never have I seen a city devoid of women. The reason being that 'the are too precious'(?)
Islamabad, it's a very modern city.
Quetta, a city in the middle of the desert.
My bus ride from Quetta to Taftan, absolutely brilliant!
Seeing a James Bond movie with the 'erotic' bits cut out.
Low-lights
Anti-Indian propaganda, with it's 'kick India' badges.
Rating
Be prepared for the unexpected. Friendly one minute and the next you have an anti-Western demonstration on your hands. Definitely worth a visit for the adventurous traveler.
