Don Clark's highly regarded web site detailing the history of 211 Squadron RAF, together with its many personal reminiscences and photographic collections is well worth a visit. 211 Squadron shared with 45 Squadron some of the aircraft and locations and trials and tribulations of the North African theatre of war. Some of the contributors have included excellent photographs of 45 Squadron scenes.
Håkan Gustavson's comprehensive aviation page details biplane fighter aces of World War II, inevitability including much detail on aircraft and flight activities. North Africa was one of the last arenas of the biplane fighter and the Italian Fiat CR 42 biplane was one of the principal antagonists of 45 Squadron during the early part of the North African campaign.
Robin Riley's web site on 156 Squadron contains a wealth of links and information on the Squadron. Well worth a visit.
Bob Baxter's bomber command web site. A wealth of information.
The MOD's RAF history web pages. A good basic source of information on squadrons and general RAF history.
The Bomber Command Historical Society is also worth a visit.
