Sights to See
Rocks at Alexander Bay

We are a working farm and would be happy to oblige if you are interested in seeing any aspect of our daily activities.
Oceanview Farms overlooks beautiful Alexander Bay which offers safe swimming and is an easy sheltered beach to drive on. Great for fishing and during the winter and early spring months for whale watching. Southern Right Whales come into the sheltered coves to calve and then return to the Antarctic. The Alexander River, which has some lovely pools and waterfalls, flows into the ocean in the bay. Nearly all year round wildflowers abound, though the spring is when the largest number are blooming. East of Oceanview is Israelite Bay, which was the site of a large community, servicing the Overland Telegraph Station and was a port for the dispatching of wool from the pastoral stations. Both the the Telegraph Station and the jetty is in ruins but both are over 100 years old and well worth a look but a four wheel drive is needed because of the condition of the track.
