These photos of the MG Midget were taken in the late afternoon one day during January 2002.
This is mid-summer in Sydney but because of the extensive bush fires over several weeks to the west and south, the sun was cloaked in smoke creating a soft, orange light.
This one is at Fishermans Beach, Long Reef with the dinghies and 'tinnies' (aluminium boats) used by fishermen in the background.
Long Reef again with pelicans still on the beach. The tide is out showing part of the reef.
Still at Long Reef.
Immediately to the north of Long Reef is The Basin, a very small beach. In the background is Long Reef headland below which the previous shots were taken.
At The Basin again.
Still at the same place with the light receding to the rear of the car.
The badge says 'P&Rs' and was attached by the original selling dealer, P&R Williams, a major British Motor Corporation (BMC) dealer in Sydney. According to the accompanying engine bay plate this was the 113th Midget sold by them.
No more, honest!
