Appraisals
This is the one question most people ask when they contact me, "What is my Bottle Worth!". Unfortunatly most people have not found the treasure from the past they think they have.
From experiance I have found that about 70% of the Antique Bottles found in Australia have no or very little monetary value, under the $10.00AU mark, this is not say that people don't still collect them, it just means that if you could sell them you would only get a few dollars. Some people collect everything they find regardless of the monetary value.
Please note: Due to the excessive number of Appraisal requests that I struggled to keep up with, I have stopped doing appraisals on individual bottles. I am now involved in new website which is a database of Australian bottles with values. If you have a bottle or a huge bottle collection of bottles this is by far the best way to find their values.
It is a subscription site which is password protected, it is $33.00au INC GST for a 12 month subscription which will give you unlimited access for the term of your subscription .
This site has a very powerful search function, all you need to do is type in the embossing or name on the bottle and search, please check it out at

I have the most experience with Australian Found Bottles, I do not have very much experience with overseas bottles (except bottles that were imported and used in Australia), Modern Bottles from 1950 on, Jim Beam Decanters, Avon Bottles or Modern Coca~Cola and Pepsi bottles. You should be able to find another website that specialises in these types of bottles.
I have the most knowlage in Early Australian Glass & Stoneware Bottles and Fruit Jars or bottles that were Exported to Australia in the early to mid 1800's to the mid 1900's.
