Common Australian Found Antique Bottles
This is a list of the most common Australian found bottles, this is to help you determine if you have any bottles of monatary value.
My classification of a common bottle is, if I put $5.00 on a bottle at a bottle show Swap n Sell stall the bottle would be still there at the end of the day.
If you find a bottle you are interested in and a dealer or antique shop owner tells you it is Rare and you find that bottle listed here you can be assured that it is not Rare.
I have found that the use of the word RARE has become rampent in the selling of antique collectables, and this is not good if you are new to collecting.
I do not say an item is Rare unless it is rare, hopefully this page will help some of you collectors work out good bottles from the common ones. Here an example of the blatent use of this word can be seen on ebay, click here for an ebay search on the word Rare.

Please Note
If the bottle
- Has no embossing or Company name on the front or.
- Only has the company name around the base or heal or.
- Has a screw top lid (except for some fruit Jars) or.
- Is very modern.
it will most likely not have any monatary value.
