Most if not all of these disorders are genetically linked whether we care to admit it or not. Some may be exacerbated by environmental factors but a direct causal relationship has yet to be inarguably proven. There are still those that choose to deny proven scientific facts and such denial of genetic involvement perpetuates ignorance and does nothing to arrest or eliminate the diseases and disorders that affect this breed.
