PEEKAY-CAD

General AutoCAD®

4.15 Menu area T3.
This section is for commands associated with blocks and attributes.
4.15.1 The "INSERT" command inserts defined blocks and the prompts for the attributes appear in the command prompt area. The  "INSERT  *" command will insert blocks undefined which is the same as an exploded block.
4.15.2 "REPLACE ATTRIBUTE" and "EDIT ATTRIBUTE" are functions of the "ATTEDIT" command. They operate similar to "REPLACE TEXT" and "EDIT TEXT" commands.
4.15.3 "PURGE" can only be used as the very first command in an editing session, so as an alternative you "WBLOCK" the drawing onto itself and at the block prompt you answer with an "*". This will pick up the entire drawing. You then "QUIT" out of the drawing. **WARNING** this will purge everything including block definition that have not been used on the drawing.
4.15.4 A selection of predefined attributes has been provided that can be used instead of the "ATTDEF" command. The advantage of this is that the correct colour for the height, justification etc. are already defined. It can then be exploded and changed to suit your own needs prior to making it part of a block. They are all on layer "0" as should all block entities this allows the insertion to be on the current layer. If not it makes layer manipulation difficult.
4.15.5 "ATTRIBUTE POSITION", "ATTRIBUTE HEIGHT", etc. are all functions of the "ATTEDIT" command.
4.16 Menu area T4.
This section is for discipline-orientated symbols and routines. Refer to section 5 to section 9.
4.17 Pull Down Menu Area.
The "MENU PULL DOWN" area in status area at the top of the screen is made up of nine areas. Areas 1 to 9 are similar to the standard AutoCAD® menu.
      Area 11 - "MENU".  Area 12 - "DRG SHEETS".
      Area 13 - "SCALES".  Area 14 - "MISCELLANEOUS".
4.17.1 The "MENU" area, current menu name is displayed, is for changing the current menu to another discipline menu e.g. "ELECTRICAL" and for re-configuring the tablet.
4.17.2 The "DRG SHEETS" area is for inserting various title blocks.
4.17.3 The "SCALES" area is for inserting scale bars onto the drawing when you are drawing to a particular scale.
4.17.4 The "MISCELLANEOUS" area is for shelling out to Windows Explorer and editing other files (for developers only).
