WELCOME TO OUR HOME PAGE.

Introduction.

From time to time our company, Paul Flemming Pty. Ltd., comes up with ideas which we believe are both patentable and marketable. When we are sufficiently convinced, and the ideas are sufficiently developed, we lodge Provisional Patent Applications.

The Internet is now the ideal way to communicate these ideas, widely and rapidly, and to seek licensees. By going on the Web within days of Provisional Patent lodgment, just on 12 months is then available for responses and licensing, followed by the licensees' development phase and filing of complete patent specifications.

This home page lists our ideas currently on offer and links to detailed presentations. All of us with engineering, manufacturing or marketing experience know how hard it is to come up with new and substantial ideas. We believe we have some, and we look forward to sharing them, to our mutual benefit.

Current list of inventions.

COMMUTATION OF MOTORS & GENERATORS. A NEW APPROACH. This invention, applicable to all commutator type D.C. motors and generators, provides linear commutation more effectively and at lower cost than is currently possible with interpoles or brush shift.
BRUSH SHIFT D.C. MOTORS. This invention employs our new commutation approach to make possible a new range of motors requiring neither field windings nor permanent magnets for their excitation. Compounding is also possible to expand and customise torque-speed charactistics.
IMPROVEMENTS IN ELECTRIC VEHICLE MOTORING AND REGENERATION CONTROL.        This invention will make various battery powered vehicles easier to operate and more energy efficient. Applications include electric bicycles, scooters and golf buggies. SAMPLE CONTROLLERS ARE NOW AVAILABLE.
IMPROVEMENTS IN ELECTRIC WRAP SPRING CLUTCHES. To the best of our knowledge, electric wrap spring clutches have thus far only been designed to operate in one direction of rotation. Our new reversible design operates in either direction, allowing it to be used with reversing motors and drives. This opens up many applications, including the replacement of vehicle differentials and wider use of regenerative braking and return of battery energy.
