CHAOS and POLARITY

The Whole of Manifestation is founded on this principle if we take its origin from that state of Primordial Chaos preceding the formation of matter.In that inconceivable condition of "Eternal Now" in the mind of the Absolute which we associate with the Trinity as resulting from Duality and its Polarity, All Things are created "That have been", "Are ", "Will be "or even "Could be"in a Static State of Potential.This is The Parabrahman of The Vedanta, the actual manifestation comes via the Divine Tetraktys as Brahma in the Infinite Force of the Opposing Polarities.This is symbolised as the triangle inside the square, surrounded by a circle. Brahma in the dual role of Spirit and "Matter", producesThat which is an homogeneous primitive substance, which then becomes agitated into a state analagous to "milk", from which particulate matter is precipitated and duly eddies to form those masses of whirling gases we are led to believe become the galaxies of the visible uinverse. The ancients in their peculiar imagery made the concept of milk and the cow therefore, sacred symbols, and the bull in turn the embodiment of creative impulse. These ideas are also found in the Egyptian and Cretan civilisations.The cow is still very important in India, and is allowed to wander and forage freely. In a very picturesque fashion, the ancient Greeks visualised the Mother of the Universe arising from the "Primordial Froth" as Venus borne in The Foam of a Wave of the "Ocean", and is the subject of a classical painting .

This idea therefore, of a state of "chaos " preceding creation is a fundamental concept in metaphysical thought. What follows, is that Chaos must still be around, always held in a state of balance by the "Will" and "Intent" of the "Mind of The Absolute", but still a factor to be reckoned with in the course of evolution in the lower septenary levels in which human development takes place. In this way it can be seen why some of the scriptures relate the origin of evil with the creation of matter, and giving rise to the mythical notion of the war in heaven. That is one level of it, more detail is to be found in the bit about "The Prometheus Myth". Chaos is more apparent in the lower kingdoms, and has power due to the increased involution into matter. In the higher levels of existence it has no power, or so we are told. We equate chaos with evil, in so far as, it obstructs the evolutionary process whenever it can or even reverse it into barbarity and further involution. Considering its limited reserves of energy, it is quite good at it, and ingeniously uses the failures and weaknesses of the human condititon to these ends. In this way it has been responsible for serious lapses in the history of terrestrial humanity, and goes back thousands of years into the remote periods of the Lemurian and Atlantean wars, and much further back to the planet we occupied before coming to earth and carelessly destroyed by injuditious tinkering with atomic power.These events resulted in long periods of mutation and savagery in between, and have left us lagging behind in evolution in comparison with the other planets, a theme enlarged on elsewhere in the New Age Section.

There is mention in the texts of the Ancient Wisdom, of "The Lords of The Dark Face of God", as being an essential feature of the universal maxim "As Above , So Below" from the very Foundation of Creation, and is further symbolic of the so-called "War in Heaven" in the formation of matter which is an ongoing thing. The balance is maintained by The Will and Intent of The Mind of The Absolute, using the totality of "manas", which is mind in its multiple gradations and facets within a System of Hierarchies. These are The Devic Hierarchies, some of which have been named in the old books of ceremonial magic together with their demonic counterparts.These names are very important in the rituals of ceremonial magic in the invoking of such powers, whether light or dark, that is to say for good or ill. The principal agencies of chaos dwell in the lower astral regions and and their human pawns have learned how to prolong their lives there for thousands of years, thus avoiding as far as possible the prospect of a succession of rebirths in severe limitation of response to the Law of Karma. Meanwhile attempts to to recruit those interested in the occult into the web of black magic continue, and are assisted by the growing drug culture which blunts the moral sense.The principle weapon of the forces of evil is Fear. By inducing fear in man it is possible to foment wars, and where that is not enough there is always greed, envy and sex, of which the latter is increasingly exploited.

Loud music with strobe lighting and voodoo rhythms,( if it is possible to imagine some of that to be music,) the shouting and raucus rendering of lyrics are often dysruptive and disgusting in popular rock music. It stultifies and obstructs all the the uplifing emenations being released at this time.The effect on young people is disastrous, promoting mass hysteria and the adulation of the artists, who often present unwholesome appearances and foul mouths. Their drug addictions and drunkenness are bad examples to young minds already rebellious and lacking self-discipline as a result of the misguided laissez-faire upbringing, advocated by deluded social scientists.This type of entertainment is the the direct result of inspiration by the "agents of chaos". Petty tyrants greedy for power are readily corrupted and lay themselves open to suggestions and dreams of conquest. All the famous tyrants of history have fallen for this path, some even sought the inspiration and help from the main powers of Hell, not knowing they were to become pawns and trapped in a web of evil. Hitler is a prime example of inviting this.

Following the dissertation on Chaos, it seems appropiate to reassert the principle of Triplicity basic to All which is Manifest, and to try and show the origin of Chaos and the how the concept of Evil is associated as an essential opposition to Good and Evolution, and is used to further advancement by the Powers behind the Law of Karma. I refer to the Sankhya Doctrine of "The Three Gunas": In this part of the Hindu Philosophy the Three Gunas represent the three basic qualities of The Trinity, TAMAS, RAJAS and SATTVA . The first two are the polarities, opposing forces held apart by the third, Sattva, and which can be called the "Will and Intent of The Monad". It shows its influence in all stages of life as part of the Inseparable Three, and is present in the triune ciculation of energies between the "trios" of heavenly bodies. SATTVA is representative of The Son in The Christian Trinity, and is offset as opposed by a 4th. factor which is the Remnant of Chaos from the Formation of Matter and is Feminine, and the dark side of the Goddess well illustrated in the Jungian Tetrakys of Father/Mother, Son/Daughter.

In the metaphysical aspect of sex , Polarity is basic to normal sexual function, the 3rd.feature is Life ( Sattva) depending on the other two gunas to produce fruitful union. It may be a source of irritation that Chaos is associated with the concept of The Goddess and Tamas, but bear in mind that It ( The Godess) is also the principle of "Active Intelligence " and responsible for the creation of forms and the course of evolution during which forms and species are constantly being replaced by more advanced ones in Her role of Destroyer. The attraction between the sexes can be regarded as a reflection of the Primal Polarity preceding Creation, and the flame of passion as that between the lower self and the higher, the union of which is only achieved in the final surrender to the Soul, when all desire is sublimated, transmuted or merely exhausted whichever way you care to look at it. This final initiation of a human unit comprises a fulfiment foreshadowing a further union of the endowing lifestream with its integral component the monad.The Soul is always in opposite polarity to the human being as a unit of consciousness, so that for men it is feminine and for women it is masculine. Thus we have the phenomenon of nuns regarding themselves as Brides of Christ, as representing the Church. Monks have to be content with devotion to the Goddess in the person of The Mother of Christ. It should not be surprising therefore, that harsh suppression of the normal sexual impulse has led to some nasty habits in this otherwise saintly calling. Not that the suppresssion was ever complete, as there are authentic reports of tunnels between convents and the local monasteries, and numerous baby skeletons have been found in the excavations around some old nunneries in Europe, according to Blavatsky. I like to think this was uncommon, but bear in mind that according to the catholic teaching sins are forgiven at confession, easing the conscience after the the imposing penances, just a sequence of prayers in latter days, but "indulgences" at one time could actually be bought. Money left in trust for the saying of Masses for one's soul is not unknown today, and are still being said for King Ludwig of Bavaria, famed for his magnificent palace and mysterious death.Though I must say the nuns and priests I knew were fine examples of their calling, as teachers the nuns were dedicated and did a marvellous job in spite of large and crowded classes, but not loth to wallop you with the cane for even minor offences. Discipline was strict--but enough of my chidhood reminiscences!
