PERFECTION

That which is perfect must be without blemish, pure and uncontaminated by other elements, and also in the ultimate sense of the word timeless, immortal and if having any form and shape, symmetrical. To look for this type of perfection in the physical world is pointless. Perfect as a flower is in its full bloom it is transitory and fading as you look at it.The most perfect diamond may have hidden flaws. The most holy and mystical of all saints will not be perfect on close scrutiny, the fact of being human inevitably implies flaws. We have animal bodies and are vulnerable to the desires and impulses of our animal nature, and it is a battle to control and sublimate our baser instincts. This is "The Quest", and the "Way of the Warrior"in the esoteric sense, essentially non-violent and subjective. The saints of old tried cruel ways in their attempts to "mortify the flesh"on themselves and on each other through a misguided and ignorant doctrine that they were purifying the Soul, whereas the Soul is not amenable to improvement as it is already by its own nature already pure and active on its own level, and is only influenced on those attempts to contact it when the lower vehicles are sufficiently clear of qualities which deny contact. Perfection in the ultimate sense is elusive, even in Art as any artist will confirm regarding his work. The Spiritual Perfection aimed at by the Mystic and envisaged by the Occultist is a goal that is not readily attainable by mortals, requiring a seemingly endless road throughout time. There seem to be degrees of perfection in this sense, which makes a paradoxical denial of what I have just said. Perfection in an absolute sense is only on the abstract level of existence. In this solar system the truly Perfect Entities are the Saturnians, which will surprise and probably be denied unless initiated into the lately revealed facts of planetary existence."Be Ye Perfect As Your Father In Heaven Is Perfect" as advised and exhorted by He who Knows, is as perfect as we can ever hope to be in our apparently endless quest. It is not endless, but from our present state of limitation just appears so.
