Theology

The Fundamentals of Theology as envisaged in Metaphysics.

I make no apology for what may appear to be a bold and authorative dissertation on this controversial topic, which encompasses the most profound of all religious thought at the base and foundation of world religion, but rarely expressed because of difficulty of expression and the distortion presented by those who should have known better.

There is a tendency to avoid such terms as "God" and "Religion" in philosophical discourse due to the the misconceptions of what constitutes the Deity and Its anthropomorphising in tradition, that is ,the idea that It has the qualities of being human and even projected as an old gentleman with flowing white beard and a bad-tempered and impatient disposition towards human failings. This is due to certain aspects of the jealous god of the old testament and the influence of the classical greek pantheon in which Zeus was father of the gods and fostered in mediaeval art. "Religion " has the unfortunate connotations of historical strife and an excuse for war and persecutions, and so the term "spiritual philosophy " is advocated in an approach to things of the Spirit and the fundamental nature of "Man as the Microcosm" and relation with the "Cosmos" and The Source of All and Everything. It has all been said before in ancient scriptures, and we have the written accounts of various Mystics and Cosmic Masters who have visited this planet throughout the ages. As far as the latter are concerned they never wrote anything down themselves, and so we are reliant on the versions of their contempories and successive copyings and translations from the original. Herein lies the weakness of tradition which was always transmitted orally for many years until somwhere about 2000B.C  The weakness of language is only too obvious if we consider the profound misinterpretation which can result in the omission or obscuration of a negative prefix. In the last analysis we rely on our own judgement of what is perceived to be The Truth, and Not What We Would Like ToBe The Truth, and requires the Intuitive Faculty. This particularly applies to the most widely read book in the world, which is The Bible, and which is still being modified in new versions making more difficulty. There is no beginning or end to the successive Creation/Dissolution Cycles of Manifestation and there is no way of rationalising this. Creation of the Metaphysical Cosmos in all its multiplicity of dimensions and worlds in different levels of vibration arise from One Source, whether this occurs in phases or instantaneously will always be a subject for speculation, but the process of dissolution can be imagined as a "folding up" of the ladder of vibrational levels as the lowest becomes transmuted into the higher and so on up to the highest and only the abstract remains in " An Eternal Now" , to be absorbed into the Mind of The Absolute and Itself "closed down", and the state of mysterious rest and negativity prevails for another eternity before the next cycle of manifestation. This is according to the Ancient Tradition but in that state of "negativity" which is not entirely nothingness in so far as it contains "All that ever Is ", "Will be" , and "Can be", in a state of "being potentially potential", or in the words of the most ancient texts "Being yet Non-Being". Words are most unsatisfactory for this part, nevertheless it has to mentioned that there is contradiction in the proposed eternity of rest between creation cycles because to my limited view time would not exist in such a condition of negation, and therefore, I suggest that another cycle of creation follows immediately on the extinction of the previous one!

"Eternity" is the unimagineable interval between the onset of Manifestation and its Dissolution.Attempts are being made to calculate this as part of celestial mechanics, but I feel the figures fall very short of the mark, and anyway there is no possibility of being able to assess the "times"of life on the higher levels of existence in the Metaphysical Cosmos.Time remains a problem for scientists and philosophers alike, the former propose small "particles " of zero time and which are responsible for the formation of subatomic units and have been dubbed "gravitons" in relation to the "string theory" in the book by Stephen Hawking, very interesting if you can follow the latest scientific jargon of quantum mechanics which is now teetering on the brink of accepting some ideas of the metaphysician.

And so what is God ? This is the most delicate and profound question of spiritual philosophy as embraced by the metaphysician. To emphasise the Primal Oneness as The Godhead is not enough. That which we maintain as being responsible for All That Is, and our individual existence requires elucidation. For this we have recourse to the principle of The Monad, and is the favourite of the metaphysically inclined philosophers and mystics who have bothered to consider the origin of consciousness. The Monad is to be regarded as synonymous with The Absolute, The Godhead, Spirit and Consciousness, a small part of which is inherent in all life even the atomic particles, which are destined to proceed onto the ladder of evolution through the lower three kingdoms into the human phase of thousands and millions of lives to higher forms of existence back to the One Source, in as many cycles of creation that may be needed, through a condition of freedom incomprehensible to our limited conception of freedom, which to us is restricted to self-indulgence and pleasure for the most, but in the light of philosophical analysis the ultimate freedom is to be free from the restriction of form, or more plainly bodily imprisonment.

From a personal view the closest to relationship to Deity is "The God Within ",  and is the same as the" monad "That part which was released at foundation of the universe in what I call the " Monadic Diaspora", coincident with "The Word " as expressed in the Bible. This divine spark resides in the centre of the heart and is a place of completely empty space, as distinct from ordinary space which is full of activity and those subatomic particles inferred by science. Herein lies a mystical significance of the heart which is the power centre of the body and the core of its vitality, and conveys a dubious value on heart transplants. And so, the individual monad is a fragment of The Godhead and the whole aim of life is to realise Union with It and in due course with its Origin. This requires eons of time and transition through the human phase, which is only a step towards higher states of consciousness and millions of years of "Soul Consciousness" in a body of pure energy called the" Causal Body ", which permits free movement throughout space in any form adapted for the occasion in the ethic of service, until eventually even that vehicle is abandoned and reduced to its basic units and a "Spirit Body" acquired compatible with "Monadic Consciousness".

The Highest God in our present concept of manifestation is the "Solar Logos " which is the source of all life and energy in the solar system, and that includes that most subtle of all energies "manas", which is "mind" as applicable on every level of existence. We are advised to remember this and to turn our faces to the sun and invite its transmuting force, for which we will ever be in debt for life and experience. I have this on the word of the Cosmic Master JESUS   during" The 8th.of The Twelve Blessings". That the Sun is our highest expression of Deity may come as a bit of a shock , it was certainly to me as I was fortunate enough to be there at the time.

This all you really need to know about theology, unless you wish to delve into the mysteries of the Trinity and the Tetraktys as symbolised in geometrical forms after the style of Pythagoras, a worthy topic for meditation if so inclined and has been a source of confusion and frustration to Divines throughout the centuries.
