<<prev Escape from a Default Religion next>>

When I was a child I was involved with the Church of England, being sent to church so my parents could cook the traditional sunday roast in peace. After a small period of rebellion my cooperative nature took hold and I started to assimilate that evangelical brand of Christianity.

This lead me to ask why the world was not centered around Christianity, around the issues that it said were criticaly important. Looking for answers I found progressively more charismatic groups which in someways were my rescue as they did bizarre things, such as speaking nonsense and claiming inspiration.

So I got out and managed to resolve that ethical behaviour was the most important thing to me and there was no reason to think that accepting Christian dogma with question was the most critical issue in anyone's life.
