Well for starters, the catalyst for me leaving was the doctrine of eternal damnation. Christians wanted me to believe that an all loving God would even create the possibility of such a horrible state to exist. If God is all loving and all powerful, which i believe He/She is, then God MUST be better than that.
After studying a lot of texts from other religions, I began to see the common thread. All the religions are like a small piece of the pie, and through discernment (and common sense) you can use them all to get closer to God, who is love.
And that great concept above is considered blasphemy by Christianity. Thank God I left.
AS for now, I get all the peace I need in this phrase: "All the people on this earth are truly ONE" (One=God)
