<<prev I COULDN'T believe in Jesus next>>

It all started when I was taught in sunday school that "anyone who didn't believe in Jesus goes to hell" it didn't matter, even little children who don't know enough to be "saved" or whatever. Good Lord!

My mom used to FORCE me to go to church-- this made me rebel anyway, plus the fact that i didn't agree with any of it's beliefs. You have to believe in the virgin birth, the trinity and jesus being the messiah to be a christian and I had hang ups on all of the above.

Even though it frusterated me and I disagreed with the dogma, I went to mass every sunday with my mom and even attended a Catholic school, but didn't tell her that I hated it so much. I don't really want to go into all the whys and hows, but it's REALLY not for me.

When I was a christian, I was depressed all the time and just sat around and cried. After 3 years and 2 suicidal attempts, I knew something was going to have to give.

So I was agnostic for a while, then I finally found a religion that has all the beliefs i hold and that is Orthodox Judaism! When I started learning abou it, I KNEW I would want to convert someday!

Frankly, I don't think Christianity is a bad religion, it just makes no sense to me. I couldn't make myself believe it! Everyone says, 'you need to just accept Jesus' and all this, but my problem was that I physically COULD NOT do that. There was just no logic to me. I couldn't get any of it no matter how I tried.

My parents are not thrilled at all with me converting to Judaism, but you have to find what's right for you. The best advice I can give is to just follow your heart. Just because your opinion is different doesn't mean it's wrong.
