The Christian doctrine is full of holes. I started to actually study the bible, its origins and asking questions. Questions that ministers were unable to answer simply because the answers do not exist. Also, got sick of the threats of hell and claims to have a monopoly on "truth".
I must say that it has been a long, hard and very disturbing transition. I've been taught Christian doctrine since I was old enough to listen, and the fear that it instills is still there. Fear creates anger, so I have to really work on that because I do not want to live my life in fear and anger. Strict religious upbringing of any type causes some major problems later in life for alot of people. I know it has for me.
