I grew up a Baptist. I never did know their beliefs. I got interested in the Bible at about age 12. I never went to church much until I was about 22 years old, at which time I was searching for "the truth".
I joined the World Wide Church of God (Herbert W. Armstrong) in the early 1970's and looked forward to the return of Christ in 1975, as we were lead to believe would be the year of Christ's return and the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth at Jerusalem.
After that disappointment, I joined the Christadelphians, still searching for "The Truth". They expected the return of Christ in 1996, however, I had figured out way before then that it was all a load of crap. I began to read atheist material, "Some Mistakes of Moses" by Robert G Ingersoll was the most convincing to me. I stopped being a "Christian" in 1980.
The last I've heard of the Christadelphians is that they now expect the return of Christ in 2023. The Christadelphians are really (for the most part)good, sincere and honest people that study the Bible like no other church that I know of - they're just duped, not their fault.
