I was born and raised in a mormon family. Ever since I was a kid I could remember going to church and it was sort of a cultural thing and somthing I just did. My family was very fundamentalist shelterd me from the world and all mom ever talked about was some old fart said this and some old fart siad this.

I never really believed mormonism was true and always was a rebel and never truelly part of this organization. I was I good person with good moral values I didn't drink ,smoke and generally was a good person. SOmewhere along the line I figured my moral values belonged to me and not some organization.

Mormonism seeks to control all aspects of ones life. People have to give ten percent of their money to the church and have an individual interview with a bishop to check and se if somone paid their tithing. I don't think a church should expect somone to where a certain type of underwear at all times its just wrong. Temple ceramonmies are secrete I have no idea what goes on in there and never will. They practically force 19 year old men to go on missions and if they don't they are lowered on the sociall scale of mormonism. THere is know quetioning chuch leadership our church history whatsoever. Mormon history is nothing but a freak show where some guy named joseph smith started a cult and went west to practice poligamy. 18 year old guys were sent on missions will old fart church leaders married about lets say 20 diferrent girls all half their age. Mormonism is even more demening to women then christianty is hard to belive.

ARound the age of seventeen I could care less about religion and I lived a happy succesful life. I never had much of a social life so I guess I got involved in campus minisries in college to try to find friend. I found them to be frienly but extemely weak people who like to hide behind god pray and have not logic whatsoever. It didn't take me long to relize christiany was a scam to. Although I would asmit moromnism is far more controlling than most other groups.

Moral of the story is all religions are made up by man to control peoples minds. People who belive in religion are just mentally weak. MY values belong to me a am a good person without church. I think religion in general is a greater evil then good and causes intolerence and stupidity.
