Rob Potts CMA International Appointment
The prestigious Country Music Association of America (CMA) has appointed Rob
Potts as the international representative on the Nashville-based CMA Board.
As Co-CEOs Allied Artists Australia, Rob and his partner Marius Els have been at
the forefront of the international development of Australian and American
country music.
Rob Potts said today " I am thrilled to be representing this country on such a
powerful and long established music industry organisation."
The appointment is effective immediately and Rob will be attending his first
meeting in Chicago next month.
Fifteen-year-olds Katrina
Burgoyne from Gunnedah and Ben Hazell from Tamworth have been selected for
inclusion in the prestigious NSW Talent Development Project (TDP).
Previous TDP success stories like Felicity, Brooke McClymont, Darren Coggan and
The baileys.

FIONA KERNAGHAN has married her long time
partner, record engineer, Daniel Kresco on Friday March 28 in a small,
private ceremony in Los Angeles.
John Williamson has announced that "Pixie"
Jenkins and Warren H Williams will be joining him in "this very
special reunion tour".

Raymond Edward Schloeffel one of our
greatest fiddle players passed away September 2002. He will
be sadly missed . Tamworth Rage Page would like to extend
condolences to Ray's family and all his fellow musical companions.

Barry Thornton the pioneer guitar
legend passed away Sunday 28th July.2002 whilst on tour in

AUSTRALIA'S KING of Country Music Slim Dusty
is to have a major road from his hometown of Kempsey (NSW) named after him.
"The Slim Dusty Way."
Loretta Lynn has published a
new book titled Still Woman Enough. This follows her
best-selling autobiography published in 1976 which led to the 1980 movie Coal
Miner's Daughter based on that book starring starred Sissy Spacek as Lynn and
Tommy Lee Jones as her husband Mooney Lynn.
Elvis died of heart failure
on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42. Last August
was the 25th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death.
It's now Dr. Loretta Lynn, The singer received an honorary
doctorate of arts from the University of Kentucky
Peggy Lee, 81, singer; died January 21st in Bel Air, CA from a heart
attack
ABC have published COUNTRY MUSIC funnyman Jim Hayne's new
book "The Great Australian Book Of Limericks" with more than 1,100
entries!
DARWIN BASED Attitude Productions released
a video documentary on the legendary Tex Morton (The Father of
Australian Country Music) it traces the career of the pioneer of
Australasian country music during the period of 1916 to 1983 including his
international successes. The video is available from Attitude Productions,

Nash Chambers is a popular producer since the success
of Kasey's Album "The Captain". He is producing for Troy
Cassar-Daley, Ross Wilson and rocker Dave Gleeson from the Screaming Jets.
Glen Campbell is recording an album of his classic hits.
It will be an instrumental album with jazz arrangements.
"The Pub with No Beer " written by Gordon Parson and
recorded by Slim Dusty was listed number 5 as the most significant
Australian songs in the last 75yrs. Ross Wilson's "Eagle
Rock" came in at Number 2

made to Australian Country Music over more than half a century, the title
Honorary President for Life of the Country Music Association of Australia
be bestowed on David Gordon Kirkpatrick otherwise known as Slim Dusty.
