Why some Mares lack a "credible" Dosage profile

Many people often wonder why some Mares from certain regions round Australia lack a Dosage "profile" of any note.
By that I mean a dosage profile with extremely low figures or with very few chef's
Put simply "Chef- De Race" presences in a Pedigree are can be seen as an indication as to the quality of the Pedigree, in other words to be classified as a Chef means that the stallion in question has contributed to the improvement of the breed in a significant way
.
Points in a Dosage "profile" indicate the presence of many chefs regardless of the altitudinal qualities highlighted by a Dosage Index (di)

Queensland is a case in point as until recent years Queensland was often the "poor cousin" when it came to the distribution of Stallions coming to Stud in Australia, and the result shows in the mares profiles (very few points mostly) , and this is not denigrating the Queensland breeding industry.
Many of Queensland's Racetracks can be a thousand Km's or more from Brisbane and the traditional breeding areas of the Darling Downs, and far flung Station owners  were the cornerstone of the breeding industry using many mares that descended from retired Racetrack performers purchased to put quality back into their stock horses which included some Stud Book mares
Some of the resulting progeny proved themselves on the track and then made their way into the mainstream breeding establishments
Many of Queensland's races are conducted on obscure out of the way tracks and often the maximum distances raced at are 12-1400 mtrs hardly a place where you would expect to see horses with a di more in the norm of things in the Southern States

Sure, Queensland had Stallions as Smokey Eyes and Semipalatinsk but the ranks rapidly thinned out after them and very few others

Those two Stallions would still be seen to be contributing very little to the breed in a Dosage sense had not one John Hutchinson decided to Expand on the traditional list of Chef De  Race with his own ANZ classifications
John included them in his ANZ listings along with many household names such as Vain Heroic Biscay Bletchingly Sir Tristram Zabeel etc
I use the standard Chef De Race lists together with John Hutchinson's ANZ lists of Sires as well as my own modifications and I always use a 5 generation Analysis

Friends of mine own the mare TRITINSKI who was a bit of a legend around Rockhampton where she won numerous races
Her traditional di (Dosage Index) reads out with a points total of a miserable 26 and a di of 2.21  yet when one uses the ANZ lists it reads far more accurately as having a points total of 43 and a di of 1.69
Tritinski is by the great Queensland progenitor in Semipalatinsk so without having him qualified as an ANZ influence, one wouldn't give her a sideways glance Dosage wise

The Studbook is littered with similar stories, as if the mare doesn't have Chef's or ANZ listed sires close up (4 or 5 gens) in her pedigree she will not have much of a profile or will have very high di which indicates the presence of outlandish speed Influences and usually is associated with sometimes quite obscure Pedigrees, much the same as an extremely low di does
