Classroom activities for Christian students and home-schoolers
We have turned some of our articles into activities that can teach Christian students and homeschoolers important lessons about God's creation while keeping them entertained. These will give you an idea of what can be done. You can adapt many of our other articles in the same way.
- Teach your students the phases of the moon so they will understand its shape, shadow, and relationship to the earth and sun. Also teaches about eclipses. Fun to do.
- Make a floral clock for your school. Here's how to make a real, living flower clock that tells time by the opening and closing of the flowers in it. Kids love it!
- How did huge dinosaurs fit on Noah's Ark? Compare the smallest dinosaurs with a huge Triceratops, and present dinosaur facts that students will remember!
- Show the real size of Noah's Ark! Use your school grounds or a park to show students that Noah's Ark was enormous — it was not like those little cartoon arks in some children's Bible-story books.
- How to tell time from the sun. Teach your students to tell the time from the position of the sun without using a clock or wrist-watch.
- Use your watch as a compass. You can find direction when you are lost by using your wrist-watch and the sun as a compass. Easy!
