Make your own flower clock
Creationist botanist Carl Linnaeus put together a flower clock with 12 divisions that was accurate to within a half-hour. The Northwoods August Activity Calendar (northern Wisconsin) suggests you try the flowers in the list that follows. Many schools and community groups have shown an interest in this flower clock idea. If some of the following flowers are not available or don't grow in your area, contact your local plant nursery or botanic gardens for names of other flowers to use in your floral clock. This will give you a floral clock that is unique to your area. If you can email a picture of your clock to us when it is up and running, with some details about whoever contributed to growing the clock or putting it together, we will try to publish it. (Creation Tips' email address is at the bottom of this page.) Flowers you may be able to use: 6 a.m. Spotted cat's ear (opens) (Return to floral clock
page.) Related topics: |
