Five foods that can stop your wrinkles
Nutrition researchers in Australia, Greece, and Sweden studied 450 people aged 70 and over to see if the foods they ate related to how wrinkly they looked. They found that the least wrinkled people mainly ate or drank the following foods:
The most wrinkled people ate more full-fat dairy foods, butter, margarine, red meat, fizzy soft drinks, cakes, and pastries. Anitoxidant retards wrinklesA researcher at Hebrew University's Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Quality Sciences has found that a certain antioxidant also fights wrinkles. Dr. Orit Bossi managed to isolate an antioxidant from plants that slows the aging process. She said that because some antioxidants oxidize quickly, they lose their efficiency over time. But the antioxidant she researched can withstand high temperatures, is soluble in water, and does not oxidize easily. This means it stays effective over time and counters the breakdown of collagen fibers in the skin. Antioxidants fight free radicals in your body that cause a breakdown of many body tissues, including your skin. They include Vitamin E, Vitamin C, and the antioxidant EGCG in green tea. In small quantities, free radicals are not harmful to your body. But when there is an excess of free radicals, as happens in normal aging or because of excessive exposure to ultra-violet radiation, the result is that the collagen and elastin fibers in your skin beak down. Your skin then loses its elasticity, and wrinkles appear. Dr. Bossi did not reveal the plant source she used to derive the antioxidant, because her product is in the process of being patented. Anti-wrinkle recipeWhile there are various ways to lose weight (diets, hypnosis, etc.), the anti-wrinkle ingredients of foods seem to be Vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, and iron. It is interesting that God gave Adam and Eve a vegetarian diet, and this would have been the pattern for generations. Certainly we know that the early generations had extremely long lives. (Adam lived 930 years.) Genesis even records that Esau sold his birthright for pottage (soup or stew) made of lentils. During the time of the early patriarchs there wasn't the abundance of sugary cakes and pastries, margarine, and soft drinks that are around today, so the Genesis diet was obviously a very healthy one.
