Simon Daly and his older brother Nicholas arrived in Melbourne Australia in 1858 aboard the "Red Jacket"
Both brothers joined the NSW Police Force.

Simon and his wife Catherine Ward made their home in the Newcastle suburb of Waratah.

Nicholas remained in Sydney. (Family not researched)
