biography


rob silhouette, NW south australiarob walker is a South Australian writer and educator.
He teaches music and drama in a state primary school in the southern metropolitan area of Adelaide and lives on a small farm in the Adelaide Hills.

His work has also been read on ABC Radio National's poeticA and The Deep End, 101.5 FM Radio Adelaide's Writers' Radio, Internet Voices Radio (based in Michigan, US) and heard on the spoken-word/ music CD Going Down Swinging #23, 2006.

rob walker has performed his work at wordfire, Lee Marvin, animate quarterly, staples, poetry unhinged, poetry slams, Adelaide Festival Fringe, Crafers Inn, Coriole Winery and reads regularly at Adelaide's Friendly Street Poets. His poem dunes, perlubie beach inspired dunes, a music composition for string quartet by Belinda Gehlert. rob and Zephyr Quartet premiered this work at Nexus Cabaret, The Lion Arts Centre, Adelaide, Oct 26th, 2007.

rob's first poetry collection in  print (along with fellow Adelaide New Poets Libby Angel and Robert Bloomfield) was released by Friendly Street and Wakefield Press in March 2005.

rob also co-edited (with Louise Nicholas) Friendly Street's Annual Anthology "THIRTY" (released at the Adelaide Writers' Festival in March 2006.)

His first full-length poetry collection "micromacro"(Seaview Press) was launched on September 30, 2006.
