Adam Proctor and crew headed to Mallala raceway in South Australia for the first FV1600 only meeting in Australia.
Having never been to the track and in only the car's 4th race,
Adam qualifies 3rd and with two 3rds, a 2nd, and a 1st is awarded the winners trophy.
Nothing in Motorsport is easy and it was a good reward for Adam and his hard working team, after being
involved in an accident at the NSW state round 2 weeks earlier.

- STINGER ON POLE IN TEXAS and Jan 04 UPDATE The 2nd chassis that was shipped to the USA early last year has had its first race at the Texas World Speedway. Bobby Kaeffaber qualified on pole and lead early but retired when in 3rd with a clutch problem at the fast Texas Speedway.This adds to the win by the 1st Stinger in the USA,at Lime Rock, and the 2003 1200 NSW Championship and the first 1600 only race win. The first 1600 Stinger that finished 5th in the 1600 Championship has been sold and will race in South Australia this year. The NSW 1200 champion Stinger is upgrading to 1600 spec's, to tackle 04 NSW title while a new 1600 is built. Mid year it will revert back to 1200 and rookie FV driver John Swensen with BUTCHA support will compete at 04 nationals. John succesfully tested the Stinger recently and cant wait to get some more,
- STINGER BREAKS LAP RECORD AT MALLALLA RACEWAY The ex Adam Proctor 1600 Stinger smashes lap record at Mallala Race Way in South Australia and goes on to win 3 of the 4 races in the hands or Mark Foster. The meeting was dominated by Mark Foster in the Engman prepared Stinger that was being shaken down for it’s new owner Susan Quigley. Mark was by far the fastest Vee all day taking around ¾ second out of the official 1600 Vee record and scoring 3 wins from 4 races, only being denied in the last race due to a lack of functioning 3rd gear.

October 2004 news Another shitty nationals for Stephen Butcher. After getting food poisoning on the eve of the nationals.Stephen qualified poorly in 9th,finished 5,6,& 3 in the heats to start the final in 8,and a 7th at the finish after loosing a nose 1/2 way thru.
