Bodhicitta Retreat - A weekend to Open the Heart The first ever residential retreat to be held by Lama Choedak Rinpoche on Bodhicitta. The Heart of Buddhist practice is Bodhicitta but this essential practice is often relegated to just a quick few lines at the beginning of a practice. Understanding the concept of Bodhicitta is simple but realisation of the practice requires rigorous training and meditation. In this very special retreat, teachings will be given on Ultimate Bodhicitta; the non-clinging to acts of selflessness, kindness and compassion. Lama Choedak Rinpoche will draw on scriptures, especially Maitreya's Abhisamayalankara, as well as from the wealth of his knowledge on the subject through his own experience of doing a specific Bodhicitta retreat as part of his three year retreat. The quintessence of the Bodhisattva's Way of Life. Cost: Whole retreat - $270 (Members & Concession), $300 (Non-members) OR per day - $100 (Members & Concession), $110 (Non-Members) Venue: Baden-Powell Scout Centre, Pomona Street, PENNANT HILLS NSW 2120. The Baden-Powell Scout Centre at Pennant Hills is situated on 30 hectares of beautiful bush land just one kilometre from the Pennant Hills Railway Station. The Centre is easily accessible by vehicle from Pennant Hills Road or the Comenarra Parkway via Pomona Street. Map |
