As our cattery is located in the tropics where the temperatures are warm for most of the year it does affect the colour of any pointed cats and in particular our Birman.
The point colour on the Birman tends to fade more in the summer months but they do colour up as the nights become cooler but not to the same extent that they would if they lived in a colder climate or in air-conditioning.
The coat is not quite as heavy either although this also will alter with climate change.
