Information for feminists, the politically correct and the naive. Not only men are violent. Women are frequently violent and abusive... as well as narky, belligerent, whiny, simpering and cunning. Wake up and smell the hypocrisy.

Welcome to the unofficial website for the Violence Against Men — Australia Says So?! campaign that was launched in July 2004. This is a spoof of the official govt campaign titled "Violence Against Women, Australia Says No".

This site provides some food-for-thought about the complexity of social and family violence. It is also an antidote to official Australian govt propaganda, which spends millions of tax dollars to remind society that only men are violent.

In contemporary western societies there is no public acknowledgment that women as well as men are violent. If we only admit that men are violent, and if we are only prepared to chastise men for stepping out of line, then how can we possibly fairly address social and sexual conflict?

You see those people taking phone calls? Yea, that's only to allow women to complain about men or for men to confess that they have too much Y-chromosome. Get used to it. Its the Sucky Country.

Incidentally, a Sydney Morning Herald report on July 24, 2004 indicated that 20,000 people had responded to the official govt helpline in 40 days. However, about 25% of those calls were from men, and possibly almost 20% of those calls were complaints about discriminatory portrayals of men in the public campaign. If we guess that many women also called to complain about the propaganda, then the whole campaign appears to have serious issues.

In July 2005 the govt website was launched in a television campaign. Night after night, in 15 minute blocks we get reminded about men's violence, men's brutality, men's sexual ignorance. Don't laugh boys. You're paying for it!

Smack my bo up!
