Australia Day CelebrationsTraditional Australia day celebrations were held on January 26th. The public holiday commemorates the landing of the first fleet in 1788. Festivities continued with stalls and entertainment on Beach Road. Later in the day a parade proceeded down Beach Road led by troopers on horse back. The culmination of the evening was the fire work display which was excellent for a small regional event. | Brawl at fireworksA police officer received a severe head cut when struggling with an offender during a fight at about 900pm.
