Port Noarlunga Reconstruction
It seems hard to believe that it has been 2 years since the last newsletter. The pace of redevelopment has been
steady but quite slow. It would seem however that work is just about complete. Pictured below is a reverse view
of the wave wall adjacent to the Arts centre.

Unfortunately for those of us who see the street every day the change is not so dramatic as it is for those who see it
once every 20 years. However i am sure all would agree that it is a marked improvement.

I ventured down onto an unsually "packed" footbridge during mid May to find most fishers enjoying catches
of tasty Yellowfin Whiting some of excellent size. There was a large school south of the bridge facing the incoming
tide. Worms either beach or tube were the successful bait.

Esplanade collapsing!
You may recall the in the last newsletter in response to concerns that the cliff is subsiding a 3 tonne load limit was introduced on the Esplanade between Benny and Anderson avenues. Stabilisation works have been performed. The area has been "sand bagged" In this case the bags contain dirt and will support the growth of plants to bind the cliff face.
