When I first came to live with my new family I had a huge bed but I’m sorry to say that I broke it accidently when I jumped on it hard once to often. I still have my quilt and a mattress and my mum’s a big softie and so now I have two continental quilts so it’s extra soft.
I have two little people to play with me their names are Brooke who is 6 1/2 and Samantha who is 2 1/2 years old
I have been in my new home for two weeks now and every day it just keeps getting better. I really like it when my new mum gives me cheese on toast for breakfast because I get two slices and sometimes the girls sneak me nutri grain cereal when mum isn’t looking.
Well doesn’t time fly I can’t believe that it’s been 8 months, or so my mum tells me. I’ve settled in so well and feel like I’ve always lived here. I got some great things for Christmas. My favourite is a squeaky pig that Grandma gave me.
Well I have just found out that there is a thing called Easter and it’s one of the best things ever. The girls told me that the Easter Bunny had to leave a note on the door this year because he was a bit scared if he hid them inside I might chase him. Even though they told me this Brooke said he left a Easter present for me to. I got a box of the most wonderful tasting things called chocolates and mum said I can only have one a day. They are special ones just for dogs because if I eat Brooke and Samantha’s I can get real sick. Once when Samantha had left a piece of chocolate on the kids table I grabbed it and ran for the door. Mum saw me doing this and asked me what I had in my mouth and grabbed it out. I didn’t know it was bad for me but I did know I wasn’t supposed to take things from the table and that was why I ran to the door so quick.
This is the girls on an Easter egg hunt early Sunday morning. I was still in bed.

Well I thought I would tell you about some of the things that I like and don’t like. Just recently mum has been giving me cereal for breakfast with some milk and a bit of warm water. Sometime’s dad rolls his eyes and says that she is spoiling me but I just think he’s worried that there won’t be any left for him. Rice Bubbles are my favourite. Sometimes mum waits for dad to go to work and then she gives them to me.
I don’t like it when it’s raining first thing in the morning and I have to go outside to do my business but mum always knows that putting my coat on helps just a little. I’ll still dance around a bit inside and whine before I’ll finally brave the outdoors though.
I love going for my walks more than anything else in he world cause then I get to smell all the great smells and have a general nosey around.
Well today I got a special breakfast and mum made such a fuss of me. she said I have been here a whole year and she has ordered something for me. A new bed. It was also my birthday a few days ago and I spent it at the Royal Adelaide Show with some more greyhounds from GAP. Here a few pictures.

Well I suppose I should tell you all about the foster dogs that we have had. First there was Powder Puff but that got changed to Snow. I really liked her but she was only here for 8 days and so I never really got to know her. Next there was Cindy and she has been one of my favourites so far. She was here for 8 weeks and I think mum cried when she went. We used to play together and when Cindy was a little unsure of things she would come and lay on my bed. That was okay because she didn’t take up much room at all.
Next there was Jenni and she was real playful and lots of fun. She went to the vets one day and it took ages for her to come home because she got real sick after the vets and nearly went to the Rainbow Bridge but she got better and eventually came back to stay awhile until she went to live with her new family. Jenni was lots of fun and I hope that I will see her at one of the GAP shows real soon.
Next came Sabby. Now I don’t mind telling you all that I wasn’t to keen on him at first. Firstly he was real bouncy and wanted to play and as much as I didn’t mind playing with Cindy and Jenni I wasn’t to sure about him because he was a male. I even growled at him a couple of times but mum told me off when I did that so I thought to keep mum happy I should at least try and get along with him. It wasn’t long after that I realised he was okay and he was a little younger than me so I tried harder and we eventually became friends. I didn’t let him share my bed like Cindy and Jenni though.
Well finally after a few weeks Sabby went to his new home and a week later another male dog came into my home. This time he was only 2 years of age but he seemed a nice enough sort of guy even though he growled at ME when I walked past his food bowl. Mum told him off for doing this to me and mum said it was because he thought I was going to eat his food. Silly dog didn’t he realise that there’s plenty of food to go around and I had my own bowl anyway.
Well Bingo that’s his name has been with us for 3 weeks now and he is a much better dog than when he came. He will even let me eat out of the same bowl as him if I feel the desire to and he’s okay about that. He also likes to run with me out the back and play fight with me.
