My house

Kitchen

So far, I've put new lino down, painted the cupboards and the benchtops. The cupboards were a really horrible mushroom color and the benchtop was dark brown. I've also painted the tiles on the splashback - they used to be white, with an apricot pattern *UGH*.

Oh, and the blind used to be in one of the spare bedrooms. But everybody who came over kept telling me I should put it in the kitchen. I think they were only joking, but they should know better.

Bathroom

     
Well, the bathroom was a shocker. The floor tiles are VERY bright red! The wallpaper had red, grey and blue diagonal strips and the vanity unit was a pukey blue. My first attempt was with yellow walls, but it really didn't look good, so I decided to try the pink. I love it, but it didn't go too well with the blue vanity. Yay for laminate paint. A quick coat of white and it's all looking good.

Toilet

                      This was one of the first rooms I painted.
The photo isn't that good, but honestly,
neither is the paintjob.

Spare Room

                      This used to be the junk room, but I've recently
moved the spare bed in there coz it's a really
horrid room to use the computer in.
Pretty restrained for me though isn't it?

Hallway

                      OK, so I did go a bit wild here. It looks a lot better
in real life, because it doesn't get much natural light,
the yellow is far more restrained and the mirrors
don't bounce as much light around.
