To add a variation to this page, as from 1/1/2005 I plan
to include a one liner "advice or fact" -- also, I hope to have some very special news to announce nearer the end of
this month, but in the meantime, I must show you a photo of Skybank
Hugo Anywhere who has been chosen to appear on three pages of this
months Pet Magazine in Hong Kong. He is under 12 months of age and will
make his show debut on 18th & 19th December.

News for November 2004
We have already had two shows for November & still have another one
on 27th November & this will be the final one for this year. Skybank Movie
Star in two shows last weekend won Best Group 1 Kitten four times &
a 3rd in Top 5 in one ring.--- whilst Skybank Heavenly Treasure is now a
Champion & Gemstone Angelic Pearl has become a Grand Champion. I
took several photos this afternoon of this seasons kittens.
This girl is Skybank Champayne Bubbles.

News for October 2004
A lot has been happening at Skybank since last month, with litters of kittens being born, plus our Two Royal Shows. Skybank Heavenly Treasure met with success & Movie Star was Best Kitten in one ring at the Hobart Royal (both shows were two Ring Events.) also Gemstone Macho Man received two Best cat awards & his title is now CCCA Ch. Bronze Gd Ch.whilst Gemstone Angelic Pearl became a Champion. Some very promising kittens have been born, but until I know for sure which are exotic, I must not rave about them.
News for September 2004.
Must tell those interested, the results from the
show on 28th August 2004 My red tabby CPC persian was best cat in both
Rings, whilst in both rings my kittens won Best & reserve to Best.
The new girl (Pearl) won Best in one ring & the other was placed third.
Movie Star was Reserve to best in one ring & 5th in the other & Heavenly
Treasure the blue tortie/tabby exotic won a Best & Reserve, She is
developing beautifully so shall let you see on of the latest pictures of
her.

News for August 2004
Skybank has just acquired a new addition in our midst, she is a brown/tabby persian who's registered name is Gemstone Angelic Pearl she has so many great attribute, which will blend so well with my future plans of mating her with CFA Ch. Live Toy Mufasa. who was born in Russia. Pearl will be attending her last show as a kitten on 28th August 2004.
News for July 2004
Skybank cats/kittens met with success at the show in
Hobart on 11th July 2004.- winning best Group 1 cat in both rings, Reserve
to Best in one ring & placed 3rd in the other with my female exotic.
In kittens Skybank Heavenly Treasure was placed Best kitten Group 1 in one
ring, whilst Movie Star was 3rd in both rings. He is a blue/white van
& I am persevering with removing stains - should do better next time.

News June. 2004
Here we are in the middle of winter, cats are sleeping most of the time, & not yet thinking about breeding. I have placed some of my adults & retired others. I plan to produce more exotics & less persians next season. & in numbers have less here. It is much appreciated to get photos sent me of new owners happy with their kitties.

News for March. 2004
Today the 28th March, was our first show for Year 2004. --- this was held in Hobart which takes an approximate 2 & 1/4 hour drive. each way from my home. In Ring 1 Skybank Hugo Anywhere won Best Kitten & reserve to Best was won by Skybank Image of Power.& she also was placed reserve in Ring 2. In Cat Section, My future red/tabby stud won Best Cat & reserve to Best in second ring.
News for February 2004
Our Club shows are still in recess until March, so no news in that area. however, we have just had our A.G.M. where we received our awards of certificate & sashes won at Year 2003 shows .I proudly as Owner won Best Group 1 Kitten Skybank Vision of Future. Equal Reserve Group 1 Kitten - Appandy Satin Rose 4th Place Kitten Skybank Love of Life. In Cats Group 1 Gd Ch Kramkatten's Quismaster won Reserve to Best Cat Ch. Gemstone Macho Man was placed 4th & Gd Ch Lilith's Sheila from Rofty was 5th.
News for January 2004
Here it is January and we are now into Year 2004, lots of kittens everywhere which bring so much joy, but also so much work. Before next breeding season, I will be reducing my numbers and have some lovely cats for sale. At the moment if I can find the right home for Skybank Vision of Future I would let him go. "Vinnie" is a red/point male exotic & has won Best Kitten of Year 2003 in Group 1 for CCCT Inc. he is nearly 11 months old & from PKD negative parents. I also have longhair Color/point females available as soon as they have reared their current litters for more information email me for photos & particulars.

Just commencing this months News with the fact of Gd Ch Kramkattens
Quismaster who has only been at our shows since October has
been placed Reserve Cat of Year 2003 in Group 1 of our CCCT Inc. Awards.
He also has just mated Gd. Ch. Lilith's Sheila from Rofty, this litter will be a
first for both of them.

News for November 2003
At last, this web site is now back on Internet. There are a few
changes which I hope you like, but I also am aware of a few errors which
need rectify.
My queens have been very productive this
season, so it is a busy time. Shandelay had seven
kittens & all have survived - now over 4 weeks of age.
Our last Show for 2003 is on 29th, November, after this event the Cat,
Kitten & Neuter of the Year 2003 will be official announced.

My apologies to all my friends who regularly visit this site, for no updates for September. I have had unbelievable problems with my computer & at this time of writing, still cannot down load to my server.

My new exotics have now arrived in Australia and currently in quarantine. I am so anxious to take photos of them but I have acquired a delightful picture of Ch Kramkattens Quismaster taken when he was a kitten. He is a son of Nightingales Special Delivery who is a blue eyed dilute van.This will give you a glimpse of him.
News for July 2003
At a show last Sunday (20th July) Diamond Girl won a challenge & this is what she needed to become a Champion, My two colour/point litter sisters each won two challenges are now on their way to Champion status they had just turned 9 months old last week. A great surprise was for Skybank Love of Life to be awarded Reserve to Best Cat in one ring. My new arrivals do not leave Sweden until 30th July, so shall have to tell you more about them in next months News.
News for June 2003
Another new resident at Skybank this month is Willangi Diamond Girl (see her picture on "Future Queens" page) she is a silver tabby persian plans are being made for her to be bred with a black/white harlequin exotic male which will be arriving in Australia next month. Never before this year has Skybank had a litter born in the month of June, but Dot Com has made 'history' & given birth to three babies.
News for May 2003
Rearing kittens has taken over precedence over all else this past couple of months - but now there are only a few to go to their new homes towards the end of June and our cats are having a quiet restful time during our winter months. A new resident at Skybank is Appandy Satin Rose who is a tortie persian she settled in immediately, one would have to wonder if she actually knew she had an Auntie here plus a couple of first cousins.

It was great happiness for me when I received this beautiful photo of Skybank Captain Steinway (blue exotic) being cuddled by Miss Hong Kong who won this title at a pageant in 1998.

News for February 2003
February - has been a month where I have attended no shows-- I could not miss the AGM of our Cat Control Council of Tasmania where I proudly officially received the awards of Best Group 1 cat, Best Group 1 kitten. for Year 2002 & my good friends (Dianne & Robin Smith) received Best & Reserve to Best Group 1 neuter, with two of their Skybank Cats. This month has been a productive one with many beautiful kittens arriving - one of which, I am keeping a very close eye on as to whether it is exotic or persian??? Here is a glimpse of Vanhatten aged 9 days he has no body spots.

No doubt as this New Year has already arrived we have great hopes & plans. --- I take this opportunity to wish you all the Best in Everything you may do.
Arrangements are currently being made to export kittens to three Overseas countries, whilst on the Home Front - - A new tortie/smoke has arrived this picture of her was taken yesterday. To introduce her in a proper manner, her name is Chainoponds Hells Bells & she was bred in New South Wales.
It is with great sadness that the news of my Dear friend Peter Romich has passed away on 19th January 2003 I believe he will look down & be proud of the future achievements of his beloved "Puppy" CFA Gd Ch Granderies Top Hat & Tails.

Our shows for Year 2002 are over, & I am pleased to announce that Skybank Cloud Buster has won Best Group 1 Cat of Year with CCCT in Tasmania, whilst Skybank Monseur Raphael has won the neuter award, - congratulations must go to Dianne & Robin Smith for presenting him so beautiful at the shows - I must not forget to mention another neuter that they show was placed Reserve Neuter for Year 2002, During this year this cat has gained more titles which I doubt if any other cat in Tasmania has ever achieved.--I refer to CCC/A Sapphire Triple GD. Ch. Double Gold GPN Skybank Monseur Dartagnon ACF A of E.

News for November 2002
Europa Ch. Lilith's Vanjanders was released from quarantine on 3rd November, & what a delightful fellow he is, - his temperament is supurb. After sleeping here for four nights, he mated one of my queens, then the following week persuaded another girl to succumber to his wishes.

News for October 2002
One of the best litters ever born at Skybank has arrived, comprised of five male colour/points, we still need time to decide which are exotic. Great excitement at Launceston Royal Casino Show when Bronze Gd Ch Skybank Cloud Buster was awarded Best Group 1 Exhibit followed by being Reserve to Supreme of Show (he was beaten by a russian blue neuter.) Buster has been very busy with the "ladies" here insomuch lots of kittens expected sired by him. Latest news :----Cloud Buster has gained an additional title of CCCA Champion.
News for September 2002
The future looks bright with a number of queens expecting their litters next month. Whilst just one weeks time "Rofty" will be leaving his homeland (Sweden) to move to Tasmania. IN next months news we will have a photo of him -- incidentally he has a title of Europa Champion. The Heritage Cat Club held their show on 22nd September, & it was there that Skybank Twice as Nice became a Champion & her litter sister (a browntortie/tabby CPC) also became a Champion & was placed Reserve to Best Group 1 Cat in one ring & third Best in the other.
News for August 2002
It has all been happening at once during this past week - queens getting mated, bathing cats ready for a show - Dot Com deciding to have her litter, making arrangements for a new import, & the actual show yesterday (25th August) Skybank was extremely successful - in the ring judged by Rod U'ren, with Posh Took A Look (C/Point persian) winning best kitten, Cloud Buster being awarded Best Cat & Best Group 1 Exhibit & in the desexed section D & R Smiths' black silver/tabby exotic (Skybank Monseur Raphael was the winner. plus this award has added Bronze,to his title. Anne Bourke place Purrbox Power of Love reserve to Best Cat & Posh Took a Look was 4th.

News for July 2002
This past week-end has been very hectic, with a show in Hobart on Saturday (13th) with two International judges officiating . Carol Barbee (USA) & Erika Lazslo (Hungary ) followed by two Mainland judges officiating in Launceston on the 14th July. On Saturday Carol Barbee assured me that Oscar was Export quality & she awarded him Best Exotic or Persian kitten & placed him Reserve to Best Kitten & 5th Best kitten --- in Adults Hard to Be Humble (blue/white exotic ) won Best Cat -- & Best Exhibit Group 1 -- not yet 10 months old this was a good start to his show career. Sundays show Skybank exhibits, won Fourth Best Cat, Reserve Best Kitten a third placing in both rings & a fifth best. Now the results from these two shows mean two of my young studs have now achieved Champion status. --- no more shows till the latter part of August.
News for June 2002
With the exception of Oscar Winner who is flying to Sylvania Heights next month, all our last seasons kittens have gone to their new homes. It would appear the breeding season for Skybank is about to start earlier than most previous years whilst we await anxiously to see if two of the queens who have been mated several weeks ago are are actually pregnant. Oscar Winner.

News for May 2002
It has been a great honour to have been asked by the Magazine "Profile" to write an article about the life of one of the blue Persians I imported from UK in 1982. This cat only lived 2 1/2 years nevertheless made a great name for himself during that time. I shall tell you no more - but this May issue should be off the press any day now - it is of special interest to Persian & Exotic breeders.& great value for money, if anyone would like further particulars, then email me.

News for April 2002
At long last, this very special boy has arrived in Australia & spending the remainder of April in Quarantine. his name is Purrbox Power Of Love. he is a blue/point Persian. who will be a great asset to the Skybank breeding programme. Here are just two photos of him at different ages.

Skybank featured in the top awards at the Heritage Club Show on 23.3.2002 with Skybank Cloud Buster winning Best Cat in Ring 1 & third Best in Ring 2, whilst Maskad Bardot was Best in Ring 2 & Reserve to Best in Ring 1. In Group 1 Kittens a black exotic baby Skybank Shahtese was Best Kitten in Ring 1 Whilst at the Sydney Royal Show Kitten Carnival Cloud Busters' daughter (Je m'appelle A Chorus Line) was awarded reserve to Best female kitten in both Rings, this was exciting news for me as well as her owner Carol Macleod. Some Exciting news will soon be announced, when a new arrival comes into our Country.
News for February 2002
Our first show for this season has been very successful, with Gd Ch Skybank Cloud Buster who has just returned to Skybank attending his first show in Tasmania & winning Best Group 1 Cat in one Ring & was placed in the other, also Skybank Supurr Nova was a popular little person, winning Peoples Choice from all other Exhibits, also he was placed Best GROUP 1 kitten & Best Persian kitten - this little seal/point is going to live Overseas next Month.

On 23rd February Skybank Cloud Buster made his second appearance on the Tasmanian Show Scene & this time he won Best Exotic Cat, Best Group 1 Cat plus BEST EXHIBIT in Group 1 in BOTH Rings.

News for January 2002
To greet the New Year, I am proud to announce that this web site has won the prestigious award of Best of the Best of Auzcatters (Australia.) At this point of time, I would like to thank all those who gave me a vote. I had never dreamed of winning. - I would also like to thank the person who nominated my site, whoever that may have been, I hope they read this.

In February we will have an announcement of a beautiful Skybank exotic returning to Tasmania for an extended holiday.--- this 'guy' will be something to watch out for.
News for December 2001
Last Saturday 1st December was our CCCT last show for 2001 --- Skybank was well represented in the top awards with Skybank Hard To Be Humble (exotic) & his litter brother Centre Point making their debut on the show scene. Humble was awarded Best Group 1 kitten in both rings, whilst Centre Point was placed reserve to Best & best Persian kitten. In the neuter section Skybank Monseur Dartagnon was Best in one ring whilst in Ring 2 Skybank Monseur Raphael took the honours & Skybank Hampuss was reserve to Best in both rings.

With Christmas fast approaching I wish you all a Happy Christmas with Good Health & Happiness throughout 2002.

News for November 2001
Kittens are needing lots of time spent with them, it is the handling each day of everyone from birth that makes the Skybank kitten so affectionate. Needless to say, the pleasure I get from gazing upon these wonderful 'creations" cannot be measured. the latest of which is a litter of colour/points from two exotic imports. I feel priviledged to own the parents & are grateful to Marianne Groven & Christine Ruhmann for letting me own their cats. (an undescribable combination)

Our Launceston Royal Show was held on 11th - 13th October with Best & Reserve Exhibits returning on Saturday to compete for Supreme & Reserve to Supreme of Show. I am delighted to announce Skybank Monseur Raphael (black silver tabby exotic) owned by R.& D. Smith was awarded Reserve to Supreme. Thank you Dianne & Robin for your care & devotion to all four of your Skybank neuters.

News for September 2001
Spring is officially here! -- each morning we are greeted with the chirping of birds & with the expectation of new litters arriving - there are exciting times for Skybank, whilst my visitors to this web site can expect progressive up-dates.
Good News comes from Carol Macleod (NSW) who is the proud owner of Skybank Cloud Buster He is now a Gd Ch. plus he has successfully mated his first female who will be having her babies in October. Buster ranks among my many favourites, as does Skybank Yip Zip Hurrah (a van black/white persian) his new owner Mary Edwards of Mildura regularly rings me with pleasing reports.
Our thoughts & prays go to all those effected by the horrific tragedy in America on 11th September 2001.

Have we a new resident at Skybank?
Yes! this is correct.-- her name is Elora Von BARKINTEN DK, she has just been released from quarantine & already happily settled in with her new 'husband' Purrbox Short Giant. Her photo will very soon appear on an additional web page which will feature "Future Queens" via my Females page. I am sure this will be seen with interest by my regular viewers.
News for June 2001
Great news came from Marguerite Shum who is the proud owner of Skybank Danish Twilight. She was awarded reserve to best group one kitten at the A.C.F. National on 10/6/2001. The judge was Gary Veach from USA. In ring two she was placed fifth by Geoff Dumigan.
On the home front on 17/6/2001 Gary Veach judged allbreeds at the C.A.T. annual supreme show. Here Maskad Bardot (who now lives at Skybank) was awarded best in show by Gary, whilst the supreme in show which was awarded by Tops Jowett also went to Maskad Bardot. I am grateful to her breeder Debbie Moreno for entrusting me with this beautiful girl.
Pleasing results form the show in Hong Kong which was held on 13th of May-- Skybank Rainbow Cocktail was awarded third best in ring two by Lorna Malinen (USA) and tenth under Larry Swanson (USA).

News for May 2001
The congratulations have been flowing in, after Skybank Shiralee on 21st April had won Supreme Longhair Exhibit at the Auckland Kitten Show in New Zealand. I am told she competed against 149 others to win this award. The very proud owners are The Millard Family Of Palmerston North.
Skybank Scene Stealer has also made her presents felt in Hong Kong owned by Sarah Ng. her photos have been featured on three pages Of a Pet Magazine which is purchased at their Newsagents.

News for April 2001
Our Exciting news this month is that we now have a name for Babe's color/point male & it is Skybank Webside Story & better still he is a bluetabby point exotic, just a small picture here for you to get a glimpse of him.
Last week Skybank Rainbow Cocktail (bluetortie exotic) went to live with Bonnie Lai where she will be a partner for Skybank Box of Tricks. It was pleasing for me to be notified that Box Of Tricks was placed 79th in the International CFA awards for Year 2000.
News for March 2001
Our first litter of kittens sired by FIFE Ch Gd Ch.Purrbox Short Giant has arrived. This news brings its joys & sorrows, for the female colour/point had a difficult birth & was unable to be revived, however Babe is a wonderful first time mother & is nursing three, one of these a male colour/point, which looks the pick of the litter.
Again, just another success on 24th February for Skybank Monseur Raphael who took out Best Group 1 kitten in both rings & Best Exhibit in Group 1 under Rod U'Ren (allbreeds judge).

Several weeks ago, a pair of exotic kittens, I sent to Syam Edrys.These were to assist his future breeding program. He sent me this photo the day after their arrival in Kuala Lumpa . "Nobey" proudly holding his two kittens.
News of great success comes from Robin & Dianne Smith for at the first show this year for Skybank Monseur Raphael he wins Best Group 1 kitten in both rings. (he is a black silver tabby exotic)

This photo was sent to me by Bonnie Lai, the proud owner of Skybank Box Of Tricks who won many awards at the 4-ring Show held in Hong Kong last month. Here they were priviledged to be taken with CFA All-breeds judge Kim Everett.

My new acquisition Ch. Purrbox Short Giant (C/P exotic) has already proved his ability by mating three queens, including a CPC.

CCCT have announced their year 2000 awards; Best Group 1 Cat owned by Skybank-- Robinridge Over the Edge. Reserve Group 1 Cat owned by Skybank-- Kramkatten's Evening Star (imp Sweden). Best Group 1 Kitten owned by Skybank-- Lapchums Souled Out. Best Neuter Owned by D & R Smith-- Skybank Monseur Dartagnon. You might wonder the reason why a Skybank does not win Cat or Kitten ??? but remember - "SKYBANK SELLS THEIR BEST" - to substanciate this statement, news has just been emailed through from Hong Kong of the many awards won by Skybank Box of Tricks & Skybank Raised with Luv, each taking home many ribbons from the show last weekend.
The new arrival. Out of quarantine just two days ago, is Ch Purrbox Short Giant from Norway, photo here, -- Like him!!! well, I do - & he is even better in the flesh.

News for November 2000
This month we wish to welcome--Ch. Purrbox Short Giant who is a 19 month old proven, male colour-point exotic. He arrived from Norway to Melbourne Quarantine on 17th of November, therefore he will be in Tasmania before Christmas, and Iwish to extend a big "Thank You" to Marianne Groven for entrusting me with her beautiful cats. Keep looking for next month, for it is after the big arrival party that we hope to take pictures of him for this site.
In the meantime here is a photo of Skybank Scene Stealer who was very successful at the Heritage Cat Club Show held on the 18th November.
