I am now able to take orders for parabolic solar cookers which I call "the solar barbecue".

There are two different models which I can produce (both based on a proven german design in use in many third world countries). The solar barbecues are made from mild steel and shaped by hand. The reflectors are made of anodized and polished aluminium which is produced in germany.

Basically the two models are the same size dish (1.4m diameter) just a different frame on which the dish is mounted.

I learned to make these cookers in Kathmandu NEPAL. I was taught by Mr Chudamani Upadhyaya who has recently left this earth. I appreciate all the time he took to teach me the construction techniques and its just one of the many legacies he has left behind. He played an integral role in introducing these cookers into Nepal and built probably around 200 of these cookers over the last 8 years which are now in use in Nepal. He also produced small and medium sized hydro power generating units and water powered milling machines. He also designed and produced small micro-hydro units which used a bicycle light generator to produce electricity.
