"Around 1345 BC Kikkuli, horsemaster
to the ancient Hittite king Suppililuma, wrote a training regime to get warhorses
superbly fit, and as a result of his method, the Hittites became a mighty empire
rivalling Egypt.
Ann Nyland, while an academic at the University of New England, Australia, translated
the Kikkuli Text. For her PH.D. degree, she replicated the text by putting 10
'Old Colonial' Arabian horses through the regime set down by Kikkuli.
For the past 17 years Ann Nyland has been an endurance competitor. She has published many articles and is well known as the principal of Hyksos Old Colonial Stud.
The Kikkuli Method of Horse Training contains programs for Endurance horses, Eventers, Racehorses and Standardbreds. By following the method, your horse, without the use of drugs or other artificial aids, will become fitter and healthier and in competition longer!'
