Hello there. I'm Andraste, and this is my recs page. Here are some things you might like to know before venturing in:

- I read in a lot of fandoms, but comic book fanfic (and the X-Men in particular) was my first fandom, and the one where I've read the highest percentage of fic. Because of that, and because there aren't many recs pages in comicfic, there's a lot of it here. I do read a lot of other stuff, though, notably Farscape, BtVS/Angel, anime, the odd bit of Trek or Smallville, and many smaller genres when the whim takes me.

- In bigger fandoms and fandoms I'm not really 'in', I imagine that many of my selections will be conventional and oft-recced.

- I like gen, het, slash and all points between. Dark stories, light stories. Although I read a lot more short fic than long, I enjoy a good epic. I'll read about any character or pairing if I trust the author enough, although like every fan I have my likes and dislikes.

- Things that make me flee screaming except under very particular circumstances include sexualised mentor/student relationships, Real Person Fanfic and high levels of sappiness.

- I have favourite authors. About fifty of them. Their names are going to turn up repeatedly. I make no apologies for this.

- I reccomend stories because I enjoyed reading them. Not always because I think they're perfect.
