Bobby Drake is sent on a mission that confuses him, and his bewilderment doesn't lessen at all when he finds himself in a cell with one of the X-Men's worst enemies. This story has humour, pathos, and an exciting plot. In my opinion, this is one of the best things in all X-Men comic fanfiction.
There are a lot of Gambit/Iceman slash stories out there (the reasons why are to complex to go into here) but this is one of the few that reflects the relationship as it might actually be. And nobody writes Bobby quite as well as the inestimable Poi.
Bobby meets a girl who aspires to being a superhero. I know what you're thinking, but there's no Mary Sue here - just a twelve-year-old who learns that there's a bit more to it than she thought with the aid of a real, live X-Man.
Bobby has a recurring nightmare. I can't say more without giving it away, but Mice is one of the best Iceman writers out there, and I think this is my favourite out of all her stories.
Loki's Rose is one of the great unsung talents of fandom, and I'm not just saying that because she's a good friend of mine. This sweet and clever shows us an AU version of the early X-Men. Things are just slightly different for a Bobby Drake trying to cope with the team's new redhead.
Another AU, and this time Bobby marries the redhead. It's not a happy ending, but it is a beautifully-described one.
Iceman is thinking about changing his codename. Or maybe that's just a symptom. Funny, sad, clever and perfectly characterised.
