Hunter Valley born in 1955 - the year of the big flood, I, along with wife Michele and son John reside in the village of North Rothbury overlooking the spectacular Pokolbin Vineyards. Initially educated in the mechanical trades, I have been operating a small screen printing and custom picture framing business for more than 18 years, whilst continuing to work in the coal mining industry. In the early 1990's, I began my formal arts education with a three year part-time painting and drawing certificate course at TAFE. |

| During 1998 and 1999 I participated in a number
of sculpture workshops at the 'Tracks Sculpture Sheds' in Newcastle and
in 2000 jumped headlong into a three year full time Bachalor of Fine Arts
Degree with the University of Newcastle. Having completed the first two
years, I'm finding my preferences leaning towards sculpture and painting. Outside of the Arts and my family, I am also passionate about powder skiing, motorcycles and travel and have travelled considerably experiencing a diverse range of cultures, peoples and landscapes, all of which have had their influence on my art and outlook on life. |
