The international society for the study of dissociation A links site for information on dissociation / trauma and abuse
Adelaide University Resouce Centre This site at Adelaide University is managed by the Mental Health librarian and aids in mental health related searches on the net.
Psychiatry on line A journal publication that includes it's own links to a variety of mental health disorders
Jefferson Health System An American site that again addresses a number of mental health issues including learning disabilities, ADD, eating disorders, anxiety and depression
SANE A charity which helps people affected by mental illness
Mental health council of Australia Represent and promote the interests of the mental health sector and advise on mental health in Australia
Australian Transcultural Mental Health Network Links psychiatric services to improve quality and accessibility of services for people from non-English speaking communities
Australian network for promotion, prevention and early intervention for mental health Comprehensive data base with variety of links
Disability information and resource centre Information on all aspects and types of disability
Health Insite Provides up to date information on important health topics such as mental health and other illnesses

Aboriginal Mental Health

Australian Indigenous Health InfoNet Information about all aspects of Indigenous health and wellbeing- major philosophy being "health is the social, emotional and cultural wellbeing of the whole community"
Aboriginal parent Guides; Child and Youth Health A range of factsheets for parents covering topics such as: coping skills for kids, families that work well, grieving for kids, identity, grandparents, stepfamilies, role models etc.

Minister for immigration, Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs A brief outline of Indigenous health issues.
Napcan A series of Aboriginal Story Posters by Tex Skuthorpe - a Noonghaburra man from Goodooga, north-western NSW. The paintings are accompanied by stories from his country and include messages about parenting, families, domestic violence, child abuse, sharing learning, community, fathering etc.
Working with Indigenous peoples with disability This site provides up-to-date information about a wide range of practical resources for allied health professionals and carers working with Indigenous peoples with disabilities living in remote areas of Australia.
Womens Council The Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women's Council was formed in 1980. The idea for a women's organisation arose from the South Australian Pitjantjatjara Land Rights struggle in the late 1970s. During consultations over land rights the women felt that their needs were not being addressed so they established their own organisation.
