PRIMARY CARE PHILOSOPHY
The metropolitan based services of Rural & Remote Mental Health Service are dedicated to the provision of accessible specialist mental health support to those in rural and remote regions. A comprehensive, innovative model of service delivery has been developed using contemporary communication technologies. Each component of the Service complements and enhances each other Service and together they focus on supporting the local community based primary health care providers in their work with mental health consumers. This is described a primary care psychiatry and is central to our Service.
