William Watson & Catherine McKellar   ???

                  Married 20th February, 1824 Lanarkshire Ref No 644 1/40* OPR

William and Catherine had a son William born 28th November, 1824 in Glasgow whom deceased.

 In 1826  William was born(see Below), a Margaret was born 8th August, 1828 and an Elizabeth was born 9th November, 1830 All in Glasgow.

William WATSON      &        Agnes McLAREN

William Watson was born September 22nd 1826 and was an Iron Turner born in Anderston in Glasgow

 William Married Agnes on the  6th July, 1846 by Rev. John Edwards, Minister of the Relief Chapel, John St, Bridgeton,Barony Parish..

Wm & Agnes had the following children:

William Born 1858 Edinburgh

Martha 1861 Bathgate-Scotland

Catherine 1862 Bathgate-Scotland(Great Grandma)*

Margaret 1865 - Village of Whitburn                         *

Jane 1868 - Glasgow                                                     *

                              John Thomas Billington

b. 22nd December,1862-Radcliffe & Deceased 15th July 1947 & Buried with Catherine

Children Were:

1. William 1885 Born Rochdale, Married Winifred Nee MORAN, Son Wm b. 1910

2. Kate Born 1887 Rochdale &  Married a Charles Clarke, 4 children, Francis,Lucy,Frederick and Jack,( Kate deceased on the 5th June 1942, Blackburn)

3. Maggie 1890 Rochdale, Maggie died aged 1 year in 1891

4. Lucy 1891 Rochdale Married Len Almond.  No Children. Lucy died Mid 1970s after Len who died 15th January 1970 both in Feniscowles where they had lived all their lives.  Lucy lived in the same house as her parents.

5. John(Known as Jack) 1893 Rochdale (M) Eva Fenton Nee PEARSON,  John won a Military Medal in the Great War, One known daughter called Irene found so far who married an Ellis Slater in 1842

6.Alice 1895 Deceased

7. Agnes 1896 (M) Thomas Chippendale. Children: Muriel,Doreen, Jean and Joan(Twins)

8.Harry b.1899 (M) Isabella Riley -Children Derek b.5th May, 1929(M) Margaret Beaumont and had sons John and Mark.

Harry & Isabella also had a Catherine Watson Billington b. 14th May, 1922, Blackburn, Catherine married three times, (1)(M)  Thomas William Godden on 21st September, 1943 and had sons Terence William Godden in 1944 and Lee Godden.

9.Walter b.August 1901(My Grandfather) (M) Alice Campbell (My Grandma) in 1928 at St peters Church, Blackburn. My father William Kenneth was born 14th January, 1931.  Alice my grandmother had been previously married to a John Noone and they had a daughter Margaret in 1928 who was born after her father John had  deceased.  Margaret died on the 19th February 1928 aged 2 months. My Father William died this year on the 1st October, 2004

11.Frank b. 1904, Frank married a Mary Elizabeth Nee Boothman, they lived in Blackpool at some stage but moved back to Blackburn. Frank died about 1983 and Mary died in 1998 in an old peoples home in Blackburn. During my research I finally found out their address and wrote to them, some months later I received a reply back from a neighbour who wrote on the letter that Mary had just deceased the week prior!!!
