Templestowe Cemetery, Chapel and Memorial Gardens
Bronze Plaques: Years ago all graves were considered "Monumental" and families were expected to erect monuments, sometimes of magnificent (and expensive) proportions. Not un-naturally the cost of some monuments were beyond the resources of many. In more recent years, there has been increasing acceptance of lawn cemeteries where graves are marked by a bronze plaque. Cremation is also becoming more preferable to burial and memorials for ashes (cremated remains) are usually marked with a bronze plaque. With the changes in technology and manufacturing processes a wide variety in styles of plaque with much more personal, and therefore meaningful, inscriptions are possible. We offer assistance and advice to families in composing inscriptions or epitaphs. Contact us |
